Underwater service is a specialised profession. Working in an enclosed environment requires discipline, technical competence and a strong understanding of how each person’s actions affect the whole crew.
Preparation is deliberate and teamwork is essential. This introduction explores the character of submarine service without presenting operational details or unverified technical specifications.
Images are archival or contextual. They illustrate maritime service and may show a different vessel type.
