ON JOB TRAINING
Bangladesh Navy conducts “on the job training†both for officers and sailors at different stages. All personnel of BN have to undergo OJT during or at the end of various basic and professional courses. After joining on board ship they are given with Task Book/ Training Guide Book where according to their trade and branches multifarious tasks are listed. Each trainee is placed under one capable hand to complete the task list with in a given time frame. The training guide book is designed in such a way that an individual would definitely come across the lessons he learnt in the basic/professional courses. This is basically helps trainees to implement their theoretical knowledge on practical ground with sound proficiency.
